Lakers, Rockets reportedly interested in Andre Iguodala if he gets buyout
The Memphis Grizzlies may not end up keeping Andre Iguodala after they acquired him in a trade with the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, and there should be no shortage of contenders interested in the veteran swingman if he agrees to a buyout.
Memphis also got a 2024 first-round pick from the Warriors in the trade, so it would make sense for them to buy Iguodala out and have essentially purchased a draft pick. If and when that happens, reports say the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets will be among the teams looking to sign Iguodala.
Kawhi to Lakers rumblings getting stronger & stronger. Iguodala likely to join Lakers after Memphis buyout. Danny Green & Seth Curry in Lakers’ scope. Lakers offered Rondo vet minimum & 24 hours to decide. Lakers on verge of building powerhouse.

Iguodala, 35, is an excellent defender and one of the most respected veterans in the NBA. He helped the Warriors win three championships and was the NBA Finals MVP in 2015, so it’s no surprise contending teams want him on their roster.
It’s also worth noting that Rob Pelinka was Iguodala’s agent before he became the general manager of the Lakers. That connection could help them lure him to LA.
