Report: Lamar Odom’s heart function is improving
Lamar Odom and his loved ones reportedly received some good news from doctors Friday morning — the former NBA star’s heart is showing signs of responsiveness.
According to TMZ, tests administered on Friday revealed that Odom’s heart function is “much better” than it has been over the past three days. Several of Odom’s vital organs have been failing, and doctors say it is a positive sign that one of them is beginning to respond.
Doctors have reportedly asked that virtually no one have access to Odom’s room in order to avoid stimulating him in any way.
While Odom remains on life support, this is the first positive report we have heard about his condition in the past 48 hours or so. A previous report from TMZ indicated that Odom was showing no signs of improvement.
Even if Odom is able to pull through, concerns will remain over his brain function. A representative from Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch South in Nevada told a 911 dispatcher that Odom had been seen doing cocaine and using sexual enhancement pills in excess before he was found unconscious. There has been speculation that Odom went off the rails over a recent episode of the Kardashians reality show. His estranged wife Khloe Kardashian has reportedly been with Odom at the hospital since Tuesday night.
