Larry Sanders earns comical ejection by giving referees thumbs up (Video)
Memo to NBA players: If you’re going to get tossed from a game, this is how to do it.
Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders disagreed with a charging foul he received with 2:45 left in his team’s 106-93 loss to the Washington Wizards Wednesday. He responded by sarcastically giving a thumbs up to each referee one by one following the call. Bennett Salvatore was not pleased with Sanders’ gesture, so he ejected the center.
“There were a lot of things I was frustrated with,” Sanders said after the game, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
It was the third ejection of the season for Sanders. He had 17 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks before getting run.
Sanders doesn’t get a lot of pub playing in Milwaukee, but our friend Matt Moore at CBS Sports actually has him first in Defensive Player of the Year standings.
