LaVar Ball is already at it again — and he thinks that he knows LeBron James’s next destination.
Ball made clear in a recent interview that he thinks James is coming to Los Angeles — and he’s going to “fall in love” with his son Lonzo.
“Let me tell you this, it would be a great fit, and LeBron is coming to L.A,” LaVar told Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints. “What’s in Cleveland? You want to be a superstar, man. Superstar franchise. It’s going to be like this, and I’m talking about reality. He’s going to say, ‘You know what? I went to Miami. Won a championship. Brought one back to my home town. I’m the only one to go to three different places and bring a championship.’
“You do not give Lonzo Ball the best player in the game and don’t think they going to win! He is going to fall in love with Lonzo so much on the way that he play. They both understand the game. Best player in the game and you don’t think he coming? Stop it!”
Did LaVar just admit that LeBron is the best player in the NBA? Uh oh.
This all looks like uninformed speculation. It’s almost certain that LaVar has no sources close to LeBron — after all, things did not go so well the last time LaVar spoke about James. One thing we do know is that Lonzo would love to help bring James to the Lakers, even jokingly, and that James is, in fact, a free agent next summer. Everything else is rumor.
