LeBron James is not done nudging Anthony Davis to Los Angeles.
According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, James and Davis had dinner together after Friday night’s matchup in Los Angeles. Davis and the Pelicans are staying in town overnight ahead of a trip to Sacramento, and James took the opportunity to meet up with Davis.
There is no indication that it was a recruiting dinner of any sort, but there is simply no way James and Davis having dinner together won’t be viewed as an effort to get Davis to Los Angeles given James’ recent comments about wanting to play with him. Davis, according to Haynes, is intrigued by Los Angeles, and Friday’s dinner won’t do anything to change that.
If rival executives were mad about what James was doing before, this will probably get them furious. There’s nothing they can do to stop two players from having dinner together, though.
