LeBron James wears Kermit sipping tea hat, blasts his critics
LeBron James has had some very interesting wardrobe selections since the Cleveland Cavaliers completed their NBA Finals comeback and defeated the Golden State Warriors. The most surprising, perhaps, was the hat he wore after Game 7 on Sunday night.
We recently learned that LeBron’s lifetime Nike deal is worth an incredible amount of money, but he wasn’t repping the sports apparel company. Instead, James wore a hat that featured Kermit the frog sipping tea. Some of you know it from the “but that’s none of my business” meme.
On Monday, LeBron followed up on Instagram with a message to his critics.
They said u lost a step, wasn't explosive as once was, the best days was in the real view, questioned your drive, your leadership, your commitment, you don't have killer instinct, going back home is the worst mistake in your career, he got the coach fired, players traded, won't work between him and Kyrie, Him and Kev won't work, love your teammates to much, there's no way he can deliver a championship in his hometown, etc etc etc…. But guess what THATS NONE OF MY BUSINESS #StriveForGreatness #ThisOneIsForTheLand #PutSomeRespeckOnMyName Hahahaha!!! Yes sir
We’ve seen other pro athletes use the Kermit meme, but LeBron took it to the next level with the hat. He also wore an unexpected T-shirt on Monday that may or may not have been a direct shot at the Warriors.
Had the Cavs not completed the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history, all we’d be hearing about is how LeBron came up short again. He deserves nothing but credit for not letting that happen. The Kermit hat certainly fits the situation well.
