Until he announces which team he will be playing for next season, every single move that LeBron James makes on social media will be overanalyzed. If you’re a Boston Celtics fan who puts stock into those types of things, it’s your turn to get excited.
Early Wednesday morning, LeBron decided it is time he should start following young Celtics star Jayson Tatum on Instagram.
I’d forgotten how hilariously everyone chews over the minutes of social media now in the nba offseason. To that end, Lebron just followed the Celtics’ Jayson Tatum. pic.twitter.com/HBs8za7MKv

What does that mean? Most likely nothing, but there’s a very, very, very, very small chance it could be an indication of which team LeBron is going to choose this summer, and that’s all some people need.
Tatum actually has a connection to LeBron and played 1-on-1 against him when the former Duke star was just a kid. The history between the two made it even more noteworthy when Tatum threw down a vicious dunk on LeBron during the playoffs.
If not for the fact that Kyrie Irving is in Boston and wanted to get away from LeBron, the Celtics would make perfect sense for James. They have arguably the best young core in basketball with Irving, Tatum and Jaylen Brown, and they still have Gordon Hayward and Al Horford. Even if one of the aforementioned players had to go to make room for LeBron, Boston would still dominate the Eastern Conference.
