Report: LeBron James will play against Clippers
LeBron James will be returning for the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Clippers on Thursday, according to a report.
Initial reports had stated James would return for the game, but then he was ruled out on Wednesday. That wasn’t the end of the story, as he was upgraded to doubtful on Thursday. James apparently showed up early to work out before the game and see if he could play, and things must have gone well.
Before his injury, LeBron typically got to the Staples around 4:30 for home games. After the injury, for home games, he’d typically arrive very close to game time. Tuesday and today (Clippers home game), much earlier. He’ll get some work in pregame and see if he can play.

Yahoo’s Chris B. Haynes reported just 2.5 hours before the schedule tip-off that James would play against the Clippers. James has missed the team’s last 17 games due to a groin injury suffered on Christmas.
