LiAngelo Ball makes light of China incident in Foot Locker commercial
LiAngelo Ball made light of his China theft incident in a new Foot Locker commercial.
Foot Locker released a commercial on Tuesday featuring Ball that promotes a new “One and Done” T-shirt ahead of Thursday’s NBA Draft.
The commercial calls the deal a “steal” and also uses the word “criminal.”

Those are allusions to Ball’s China incident. He and two teammates were caught shoplifting in China ahead of UCLA’s season-opening game in Asia. The incident received international attention, with President Trump even getting involved.
Ball ended up leaving school to play in Lithuania. He has now entered the NBA Draft despite not being highly regarded as a prospect.
