Lou Williams says he will protect Mike Scott after alleged fight with Eagles fans
Philadelphia 76ers forward Mike Scott wore enemy colors into Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, and he quickly learned about the risks associated with doing so.
Scott, who was born in Virginia, attended the season opener between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins. He wore burgundy and gold, and a video that surfaced on social media claimed to show him brawling and trading swings with a pack of Eagles fans at one point during the game.
The footage wasn’t all that clear, but the jersey and pants matched the ones Scott wore to the game. We know this because he shared some photos on Twitter prior to kickoff.

If that wasn’t evidence enough, fellow NBA player Lou Williams — who was teammates with Scott with the Atlanta Hawks several years ago — posted on his Instagram story that he will protect his former teammate “at all cost with every resource.”

Fights between fans at NFL games are unfortunately nothing new, but it’s pretty rare that an NBA player would be at the center of one. It will be interesting to see if there is any fallout for Scott.
