Luka Doncic continues to be an absolute basketball menace.
The Los Angeles Lakers star Doncic went viral during the first quarter of his team’s game on Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets. Playing without co-star LeBron James (who remains sidelined with a groin injury), Doncic was deep in his bag from the very beginning of the contest. The five-time NBA All-Star Doncic rattled off 20 points on the Nuggets within just the first seven-and-a-half minutes of the first period.
As the quarter was about to draw to a close, Doncic was fouled by Nuggets two-way forward Spencer Jones and stepped up to the free throw line with a chance to add to his total. Doncic missed his first foul shot though, and someone in the Crypto dot com Arena crowd immediately yelled out, “Ball don’t lie!”

Doncic didn’t hold back in response. In between free throws, Doncic looked over and fired back by saying, “I got 20, you’re talking about ball don’t lie.”
Doncic then proceeded to sink the second free throw, making the moment even colder.
That appeared to be a rival fan who was taunting Doncic there, and it definitely was not the smartest move. Doncic finished the half with 25 points as the Lakers jumped out to a 73-59 lead on the Nuggets (who were playing without both Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic). In the process, Doncic also added to his trash talk highlight reel, which Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns also got a taste of earlier this week.
