Magic Johnson shows off his ridiculous yacht while on vacation

Magic Johnson is clearly living the good life this summer.

The retired Los Angeles Lakers great Johnson posted a video to Instagram on Thursday showing off the yacht that he was currently living in while on vacation. The footage was presumably filmed by a drone and started with Johnson on a treadmill before gradually panning out to reveal the full gargantuan size of the yacht.

Take a look at the video.

Sports media figure Joe Pompliano reports that the yacht Johnson is on clocks in at 312 feet, can sleep 12 guests in seven cabins, and features a gym, pool, sauna, and movie theatre. The cost of renting the mega-yacht is a cool $1.4 million per week.

Now 65 years old, the Basketball Hall of Famer Johnson is worth an estimated $1.5 billion and is one of the greatest success stories of an athlete-turned-businessman. Johnson owns a vast investment portfolio that includes ownership stakes in MLB’s Los Angeles Dodgers, the NFL’s Washington Commanders, the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks, MLS’ Los Angeles FC, and more. He also holds controlling interests in large companies like EquiTrust Life Insurance and SodexoMAGIC.

Johnson has spoken openly in the past about some of his biggest mistakes as an entrepreneur. But the five-time NBA champion is clearly still doing extremely well for himself, especially by being able to vacation on a yacht that might as well be his personal cruise ship at that ridiculous size.
