A young Washington Wizards fan was shown on camera crying Wednesday night as his team lost to the Philadelphia 76ers, but his frown was quickly turned upside down after the game thanks to his favorite player.
The fan, who was there with his family supporting Marcin Gortat, broke the hearts of viewers when the Wizards were trailing by 13 in the fourth quarter.

Gortat caught wind of the video after the game, and he tweeted a heartfelt apology to the young boy. He also sent a message in Polish to the boy’s mother.

Fortunately, the young fan quickly cheered up when he realized his favorite player had reached out to him.

That was very kind of Gortat, who probably isn’t surprised that the Wizards lost based on what he said about the team recently.
