Marcin Gortat tried to do the Dream Shake and failed (GIF)

Recently-acquired Washington Wizards center Marcin Gortat was trying to show off his low-post moves during Wednesday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, but he failed miserably.

Gortat was being guarded by Tim Duncan and backing down the Spurs forward. He spun baseline, then tried to do the Dream Shake and ball fake with his right arm. The plan was to get Duncan going towards the basket, and then he would spin back around for an open shot. But Gortat slipped and fell and had to throw the ball away. He almost had it!

Now that we’ve seen Gortat attempt the move and fail, let’s take a look at the master, Hakeem Olajuwon, take David Robinson to school with the Dream Shake:

We may make fun because it failed, but we admire Gortat’s effort. He should keep it up. It’s good for him to try new moves.
