Marcus Morris acknowledges ‘s–t job’ defensively on LeBron James in Game 3

LeBron James well and truly scorched the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, and Marcus Morris is owning up to it.

James delivered a 27-point, 12-assist performance against the Celtics to cut Cleveland’s series deficit to 2-1. Morris, his primary defender, did not have a good night, which culminated in him losing his cool during the third quarter as the Cavs rolled.

After James’s 8-of-12 showing, Morris acknowledged the truth: Saturday’s game was a bad one for him.

Well, yes, he did. However, the Celtics were much better in the first two games at home, as James was held to 15 points in Game 1. We know Morris is at least capable of doing the job. Expect a motivated Boston team in Game 4.
