Marcus Morris upset that Celtics did not show interest in bringing him back
Marcus Morris had a good two-year run with the Boston Celtics, and he thinks that it should have counted for more than it apparently did.
Speaking with reporters before facing the Celtics on Saturday, the New York Knicks forward was asked if he got any interest in returning to Boston.
“Surprisingly no,” replied Morris, per Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe. “I didn’t get a phone call, I didn’t get anything from Boston.
“My two years there were special,” he continued. “I thought I did a lot for the team. I thought I at least deserved a phone call.”
Morris was with the Celtics for the last two seasons, averaging 13.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game and serving as a key piece in the rotation during their playoff runs in both years.
Of course, Morris did another team dirty this past summer, so he probably knows now how it feels to dine on both ends of the table.
