Marcus Smart hopeful he will be cleared by Game 6 vs. Bucks
The Boston Celtics hold a 2-1 lead in their opening round playoff series against the Milwaukee Bucks after they were blown out on Friday, and help could be on the way if they struggle again going forward.
Marcus Smart, who has been sidelined with a hand injury, told reporters on Sunday that he will be reevaluated by doctors on Tuesday and hopes to be cleared by Game 6, if the series gets that far.
Marcus Smart said he’s meeting with a doctor Tuesday in New York. Hopeful he can get the OK to return to game action.

If he’s cleared Tuesday, Marcus Smart would be available for Game 6 (if it’s necessary).

Smith had hand surgery to repair a torn ligament, and he is eager to get back on the court as he is also dealing with some family health issues. The Celtics could certainly use the backcourt depth, especially with Kyrie Irving sidelined for the rest of the year.
While he has a tendency to take ill-advised shots and can sometimes struggle offensively, Smart is a hard-nosed player who can provide a huge spark in a postseason setting.
