Mark Cuban has a rather surprising pick for NBA Champion.
The Mavericks owner appeared on “Meet the Press” on Sunday morning, and when asked who he was picking to win the championship, he went against the grain, ignoring the two favorites in Golden State and Cleveland.
“You know, I’m going to take a little bit of a long shot here and go with the Thunder,” Cuban said via the Associated Press.
The Thunder did knock out the Mavericks in the playoffs, so perhaps there’s a familiarity factor involved here. Still, it’s a bit surprising to see Cuban ignore the heavy favorites. It’s even more surprising when you consider the comments Cuban made about Russell Westbrook in April. Maybe he’s changed his mind since then?
