It’s no secret that LeBron James wants to own an NBA team after his playing days are over, but that doesn’t appear to be the only sport he has an interest in.
According to James’s business partner Maverick Carter, the Los Angeles Lakers forward has already looked into football ownership as well as part of his future plans.
“He does like football and he’s looked at football ownership, so he’ll be owning a basketball team and running it,” Carter told Variety’s Audrey Cleo.
James has openly said his ambition in retirement is to own and run an NBA franchise. His NFL aspirations are new. Perhaps it shouldn’t come as a surprise. We already knew LeBron loves the sport, because nobody would watch it the way he does if they didn’t.
