
The Dallas Mavericks are worried about the injury fate of JJ Barea.
Barea left Friday night’s win over Minnesota with what the team termed a lower right leg injury. ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reported after the game that the Mavericks believe Barea tore his right Achilles’ tendon.

Barea had 16 points and 7 assists in 22 minutes off the bench in the win. The 34-year-old is averaging 10.8 points and 5.5 assists in nearly 20 minutes per game this season. Barea is in his 10th season with the team (over two stints) and is a fan favorite.
