Metta World Peace took the F train to MSG for his Knicks game

Ron Artest RapperMetta World Peace is a man of the people. So much so that he took the F train to Madison Square Garden for his season-opening game with the New York Knicks on Wednesday.

HoopsWorld’s Tommy Beer says Metta took the F train from the Queensbridge stop to 34th street prior to the Knicks’ 90-83 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

“It was a focused ride… 10-15 minutes,” World Peace said, via Beer. “I took the train just like every other hard working New Yorker.”

Metta had four points and four rebounds in 17 minutes in the win. At least the Queens native had much more positive things to say about taking the train than the infamous John Rocker. But I wouldn’t expect anything less from Metta.
