Metta World Peace survives Lakers cuts, makes team
Metta World Peace’s NBA career is alive and well.
The veteran survived the last round of roster cuts on Monday, meaning he will make the final roster with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Lakers don't plan to make any more cuts. So roster will stand at 15, including Metta World Peace & Thomas Robinson.

A big reason World Peace survived was because Yi Jianlian requested and received his release.

We know the Lakers value World Peace, particularly his veteran leadership. In fact, they were prepared to find him another role if he didn’t make the team. That will no longer be a consideration, but you can tell that the Laker braintrust has a high opinion of him.
