After 15 seasons in the NBA, Metta World Peace will be joining Stephon Marbury, Andray Blatche, and Jordan Crawford in China for the upcoming basketball season. The 34-year-old has signed to play for the Sichuan Blue Whales.
A new opportunity means a new name for the former All-Star, who would now like to be referred to as “The Panda’s Friend.”
In keeping with the panda theme, Metta will be wearing a shoe complete with a stuffed panda head and arms.
