Michael Porter Jr. just got served a slice of humble pie by Klay Thompson.
During a recent appearance on N3on’s live stream, the Brooklyn Nets forward shared a story about how the four-time NBA champion and Miami Heat sniper Thompson beat him at shooting during a workout.
“You know what’s crazy? Me and Klay Thompson just worked out together. I used to think I was the best shooter, but not anymore, dog,” the Brooklyn Nets forward Porter Jr. said.
“He beat me by one spot. It was close, and after the workout he was like, ‘It’s been so long since I’ve shot against someone that challenges me. And that’s how I felt, that I never get to work out with someone that challenges me.'”

The 28-year-old Porter isn’t too shabby from the 3-point range himself, as he has a career 39.8% shooting percentage from deep in the NBA, but as he found out during that workout with Thompson, there are levels to being a shooter, especially in the league.
The 36-year-old Thompson has been doing it much longer than Porter, and he’s also widely regarded as one of the best outside shooters the league has ever seen. The five-time NBA All-Star is shooting 40.9% from beyond the arc in his career, despite shooting a relatively subpar 38.7% from that region over the last three seasons.
