Michelle Beadle grew up in the San Antonio area and is a huge Spurs fan, but you probably already knew that. So is her dad, apparently.
Beadle’s father, Bob, was in attendance for Game 7 between the Spurs and Dallas Mavericks in San Antonio Sunday and got some camera time. Yes, the guy with the sweet seats at the scorer’s table who was calling for Rick Carlisle to get T’d up was Papa Beadle.
Carlisle felt that Manu Ginobili flopped after some contact with Shawn Marion early in the game and didn’t like the foul call, and that’s what set him off. Papa Beads was just trying to give the referees some assistance in the matter.
