Raptors’ OG Anunoby undergoes emergency appendectomy
The Toronto Raptors are set to begin their first-round playoff series against the Orlando Magic on Saturday, but they will be without OG Anunoby after the swingman had to undergo an emergency surgery this week.
On Friday, the Raptors announced that Anunoby was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and had to have an emergency appendectomy.

The former first-round pick is expected to be out at least two weeks.

While we have seen athletes recover quickly after undergoing appendectomies in the past, it sounds like Anunoby will not be available at any point against the Magic. He has averaged 7.0 points and 2.9 rebounds while playing just over 20 minutes per game this season, so Toronto is hoping he will be ready for the second round if they advance.
