Orlando Magic want to lure big free agents like Al Horford
The Orlando Magic made a few deals prior to the NBA trade deadline this week, but they did not hit the home run they were seeking. It sounds like they have hopes that they’ll be able to land a big free agent though after the season.
TNT’s David Aldridge reported that the Magic are looking to make a big splash in free agency. ESPN’s Zach Lowe believes they are likely to go hard after Al Horford.
They are confident weather, tax situation, etc, can lure someone. We'll see. Expect them to go hard at Horford. https://t.co/D1S5L9q6Wc

The Magic have some good young players like Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon, Victor Oladipo, Evan Fournier, Mario Hezonja, Elfrid Payton and now Brandon Jennings. They’re still on the outside when it comes to a potential playoff berth, but they appear to be trending in the right direction as a franchise. Adding a significant free agent to their core would make them a decent team in the Eastern Conference.
