Patrick Beverley seemingly hints he will sign for most money in free agency
Patrick Beverley is expected to draw plenty of interest from teams as an unrestricted free agent this summer, and it sounds like the veteran point guard has ever intention of following the money.
Beverley has sent a few tweets recently about free agency, and he has hinted that he plans to sign with the team that offers him the biggest contract.
Never personal just business……….

Since he spent the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers and openly bragged about them surpassing the Lakers as LA’s team, there was some belief that he would take less money to remain with the Clippers rather than signing with their rival. However, when one Twitter follower pointed out that the Lakers may have interest, Beverley had an interesting reply.
“That’s what I heard,” he wrote. “S— real huh.”
Beverley has played seven NBA seasons and made just over $25 million. That isn’t much for a guy who has made the NBA All-Defensive Team twice. You can’t blame Beverley for not wanting to take a discount, and it’s probably why he hasn’t ruled out putting his feelings aside to sign with one particular team. Beverley can expect a significant raise from the roughly $5 million he made in LA this past season.
