Kobe Bryant received a number of touching tributes from NBA teams during his retirement tour last season, but Indiana Pacers star Paul George may have paid him the best compliment of all.
George brought home a new pit bull to his family this week, and guess what he named him?
“Shoutout my buddies @bullybeachouse for the amazing pitbull!” George wrote in an Instagram post. “My daughter and I love him as you can tell and I know King can’t wait to meet him as well. Out of respect of the mamba it’s only right to name him KOBE! #Legend.”
Does that sound like the same guy who took this shot at Kobe during the season? No, but George and Bryant are obviously buddies. You have to really respect somebody to want to walk around your house saying things like, “Good boy, Kobe!”
