Report: Phil Jackson met with Frank Vogel to discuss Knicks job
Perhaps the next coach of the New York Knicks isn’t a foregone conclusion after all.
According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, Knicks president Phil Jackson met with former Pacers coach Frank Vogel last week to discuss the job.

It was widely figured that the Knicks would focus on a candidate with experience running the triangle offense, but Blatt and Vogel don’t. Still, there are other reasons that a Vogel-Knicks marriage may make sense.
Of the three reported finalists, Vogel has the longest track record of success, having led Indiana to the playoffs in five of his six seasons there. The star player reportedly favors a different candidate, however, while Jackson himself supposedly has his mind pretty well made up on the matter.
