Sunday’s game four of the San Antonio Spurs-Memphis Grizzlies series was humming right along until a sudden power outage early in the second quarter halted things.
According to Heather Cox on the ABC broadcast, a power surge impacted downtown Memphis, including FedEx Forum, causing a delay of about 20 minutes with 10:02 remaining in the second quarter.
Jabari Young, the Spurs’ beat reporter for the San Antonio Express-News, detailed the odyssey as players tried to stay warmed up during the brownout.
