Report: Ray Allen considering NBA comeback with Warriors

Ray Allen is reportedly considering an NBA comeback.

According to ESPN’s Chris Broussard, Allen’s representatives recently reached out to the Golden State Warriors to gauge the team’s interest in adding the 40-year-old sharpshooter to their incredibly loaded roster. The Warriors are said to be unsure if they want to sign Allen.

Broussard also notes that Allen is not completely sure if he wants to return, but he still has some interest in chasing another championship. Allen, who has two rings from his time with the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat, would also reportedly consider joining the Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers.

Allen has not played since the 2013-2014 season, when he averaged 9.6 points per game with the Heat. He has supposedly remained in great shape.

NBA executives are reportedly already annoyed that the Warriors added one veteran player for cheap money, so we can expect more of the same reaction if Golden State signs Allen.
