Let’s dispel once and for all with this fiction that Robin Lopez didn’t know what he was doing because he knew exactly what he was doing.
On Friday, the Chicago Bulls center dropped this funny line when asked about his suspension for a fight with Raptors big man Serge Ibaka in Tuesday’s loss to Toronto, per Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago.

Well that’s certainly a far cry from a banged-up Ron Artest asking his incredulous teammates in the Indiana Pacers locker room, “Do you think we’re gonna get in trouble?” after the Malice in the Palace.
Lopez actually got off fairly easy for his role in the fight (which you can see video of here) as his suspension was only for one game, which he served in Wednesday’s win over Detroit. Lopez is back for Friday night’s game against the 76ers, so we’ll see if he pulls his punches this time around.
