Sam Mitchell gets into with NBA TV co-host Chris Miles

Sam Mitchell next to Chris Miles

Former NBA head coach Sam Mitchell got testy with his NBA TV co-host Chris Miles on Friday night.

NBA TV was previewing different preseason games, including the Kings-Warriors game that was upcoming on NBA TV. Miles asked Mitchell what the former coach thought of someone like Steve Kerr not receiving a gold medal despite being the coach of the US men’s basketball team that won gold at the Olympics.

That led Mitchell to say that coaches were underappreciated by the Olympics.

“It just tells you how they value coaches … not at all,” Mitchell said.

“I’m surprised coaches get a pay check for this show,” Miles said in response. “I think maybe you should do this pro bono, my friend.”

Mitchell then got personal and suggested he doesn’t get paid much for working at NBA TV, and that maybe Miles should do the show for free since Miles is so wealthy.

Though the two were able to continue talking about other games being shown, the conversation made its way back around to money. Mitchell even talked about how rich Miles supposedly is and how many residential properties the host owns.

Mitchell even gave out the address for a supposed Florida property owned by Miles.

The whole sequence was very bizarre, as they were able to be professional at times despite Mitchell continuing to make things personal. There are three clips of the exchange that you can watch.
