Smash Mouth calls out Drake on Twitter ahead of NBA Finals

The NBA Finals will feature an intriguing matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors, but will also offer us the sideplot of what appears to be a growing rivalry between prominent celebrity fans.
Smash Mouth, the Bay Area band famous for “All Star,” wasted no time taking on Drake through their Twitter account, operated by lead singer Steve Harwell. Let’s just say that they were less than impressed by Drake’s sideline conduct in Toronto.
“Yo @drake When the ball is in-play sit the F– down!” the band tweeted Sunday. “That aint [sic] gonna fly in Oakland! #GlorifiedMascot”
They added another tweet laughing at Drake’s sideline antics earlier in the series.

The Smash Mouth account has been known to offer sports commentary, often on the San Francisco Giants as well. Drake, of course, was a prominent fixture in Toronto during the Eastern Conference Finals, and will almost certainly be there for the NBA Finals as well. Whether he dares make the trip to the Bay Area for an epic celebrity fan confrontation with Harwell and his band remains to be seen.
