“It was the best of reunions, it was the worst of reunions.”
In case you missed it, former All-Star guard Stephon Marbury wants to return to the NBA, announcing on Tuesday his intent to pursue a comeback bid.

Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated commented on the announcement shortly thereafter, suggesting that Marbury perhaps return to the New York Knicks.
StarburyMarbury will play for Beijing Fly Dragons next season, but after he wants to play & retire in NBA this season. Knicks perhaps? https://t.co/3WUdwH3BT1

Marbury then replied to Spears’ tweet with this apparent insinuation that he was at least open to and maybe even considering the idea:
Clever you are! https://t.co/1jrbxTVOZY

The 40-year-old Marbury was with the Knicks for five years from 2004 to 2009, but his time there was marred by very public feuds with coaches, teammates, and fans alike. Marbury said back in 2012 that he would not be open to a Knicks return, but a lot can change in five years, especially since he appears to have since found basketball enlightenment while playing in China.
