Steve Kerr fined $25,000 for abusing and confronting official
Steve Kerr was punished by the NBA for his outburst on Wednesday night.
Kerr was fined $25,000 for abusing and confronting official Ken Mauer during the fourth quarter of the Golden State Warriors’ loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Kerr was furious over Draymond Green being called for a flagrant foul. He threw his board onto the court and then went off on Mauer over the decision.
Kerr received a technical foul and ejection for his outburst, while the call helped open the game up in Portland’s favor. On top of all that, now Kerr’s bank account is $25,000 lighter.
