Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr is ready to go for the start of training camp, and he hopes that the worst of the back problems that plagued him during the playoffs are in his past.
Kerr missed 11 of the team’s 17 playoff games in 2017 with a recurrence of problems relating to his previous back surgery, and he admitted Friday that he is still not fully healthy — but expects to get there soon enough.
Kerr: "I feel better. I’m not 100 percent…I'm comfortable I’ll be at 100 percent at some point. As Vin Scully says, we’re all day-to-day.”

There were fears about the long-term future of Kerr as a coach due to the repeated health issues, but he has tried to put those to bed. Being back at training camp and feeling better is a very good sign.
