Many view it as a foregone conclusion that LeBron James will remain with the Los Angeles Lakers next season, but at least one Western Conference team is reportedly trying to give the four-time NBA MVP something to think about.

The Phoenix Suns are planning to pursue LeBron this offseason, according to Evan Sidery of Forbes. That is why the Suns are hosting LeBron’s son Bronny James for a workout ahead of the NBA Draft despite their only pick being at No. 22 overall.

The belief is that the Suns would want to add LeBron to their star trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. That means James would have to decline his $51.4 million player option for next season and then take far less money to sign with Phoenix, which makes the move even less likely.

Bronny James is not viewed as a strong NBA prospect. It would not be a surprise if the only teams that express interest in the 19-year-old are the ones that want to try to convince LeBron to play for them. The Suns could fall into that category.

While LeBron has yet to make any decisions about his future, his agent Rich Paul may have dropped a big hint on Friday about where things stand.
