When you think of the San Antonio Spurs, you think of a team that is all business. You have Gregg Popovich who gives one-word answers during in-game interviews, and you have Tim Duncan, who rarely shows emotion on or off the court. But the Spurs apparently kept things loose enough for Duncan to have a chance to play with his kids at halftime of Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
The Spurs led 61-52 at the half.
Sure, it was Father’s Day, but that still was about the last thing I was expecting to see. I figure Pop is too busy chewing out his team at halftime to allow them a chance to socialize with their families. Heck, I was even surprised to see Kobe kissing his wife inside Staples Center, but I guess it’s a different story for these guys who bring their families to work.
