Toronto Raptors’ practice facility named after Drake’s OVO
The association between Drake and the Toronto Raptors continues to grow.
Drake, a Toronto native, has been a global ambassador for the Raptors since 2013. He is often seen at the team’s games (sometimes getting into it with opponents) and has helped with the team’s image and branding. Now he’s taking things further.
According to TSN Raptors reporter Josh Lewenberg, the Raptors are renaming their practice facility the “OVO Athletics Training Centre.” He says Drake will have a key to the facility now.
Drake, who already had a stall in the Raptors locker room at Scotiabank Arena, now has a key to their practice facility and his logo on the front of the building. Literally. No joke.

OVO is an acronym that stands for “October’s Very Own,” which is Drake’s birth month. The rapper’s record label and clothing line are both OVO-branded. And now so is the Raptors’ practice facility.
