Tristan Thompson received a chilly reception from Cleveland Cavaliers fans when entered the game for the first time on Wednesday.
Earlier in the week videos surfaced of Thompson allegedly cheating on Khloe Kardashian, who is currently pregnant with Thompson’s child. Not surprisingly, backlash ensued, and it continued during the Cavaliers’ regular season finale against the Knicks in Cleveland.
Thompson did not start the game. However, when he entered for the first time late in the third quarter, he was showered with boos. Thompson was also reportedly not announced by the public address announcer.
#Cavs fans booed Tristan Thompson when he was shown on screen. He wasn't announced coming off the bench by the PA announcer, either.

Thompson did later receive cheers after making a shot.
And now cheers for Tristan Thompson after a jump hook falls for him. #Cavs

This season has been a frustrating one for Thompson. He played in a career-low 53 games and when he did play, Thompson saw just 20 minutes per game, also a career-low. A calf strain caused him to miss more than a month. He also missed time due to a sprained ankle.
With the Cavaliers securing a playoff spot, it will be interesting to see the reaction Thompson receives in visiting arenas.
