Zion Williamson spent a year studying at one of the best universities in the world, but there is at least one word that he did not seem to master during that time.
Williamson was not happy with the New Orleans Pelicans’ effort in their 121-107 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night. The former Duke star said his team took a “lackadaisical” approach to the game and ended up paying for it. Or, that’s what Williamson was trying to say.
Williamson butchered the word “lackadaisical” so badly that a clip of him trying to say it went viral. The video had been viewed more than 12 million times as of Wednesday morning.

There is no way Williamson will ever live that down. We can only imagine how much fun the Pelicans will have with it in the locker room.
Williamson probably prefers to be mocked over his pronunciation of a word rather than some of the other recent criticism he has faced.
