Virginia G Kyle Guy declares for NBA Draft
Kyle Guy just completed part of his basketball dream by winning the national championship at Virginia. Now he’s going for part two: an NBA career.
Guy announced on Twitter Tuesday that he will be entering the draft and hiring an agent. The junior did mention in his note that he is leaving open the option to return to school.

A new rule allows players to hire an agent and still return to school, which is different from in the past when hiring an agent prevented them from doing so.
By entering the draft, Guy joins his Cavaliers teammates De’Andre Hunter and Ty Jerome, who also declared their intent to go pro. Guy averaged 15.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game last season. He is a career 42.5 percent 3-point shooter, which should make him somewhat attractive to teams.
