With Kevin Durant on his way to Brooklyn, two of the teams that he spurned are already working on their next moves.
Longtime basketball writer Peter Vecsey reported on Sunday that the New York Knicks are “furiously” working on a sign-and-trade with the Golden State Warriors for guard Quinn Cook, who is a restricted free agent.

Cook, who scored 6.9 points on 40.5 percent from three in 14.3 minutes per game for the Dubs last season, might not be a starting-caliber guard but is a useful rotation guy with his instant offense, something that the Knicks need.
Many are laughing at the two teams for losing the Durant sweepstakes, but it looks like they are not wasting any time feeling sorry for themselves.
