Dwight Howard may want to join the Golden State Warriors, but the interest does not seem mutual.
In a free agency column for USA Today, Sam Amick reported that Howard would have interest in joining the Warriors. The New York Times’ Marc Stein says any of those rumors have been shot down.
Among the (many) topics covered: Persistent rumblings that the Warriors plan to go after Dwight Howard have thus far been consistently shot down to me https://t.co/Hf5jvHumKS

That may not be the end of possibilities for Howard, who is expected to receive a buyout from the Nets after being traded there from Charlotte. Amick says Howard would also have interest in teaming up with LeBron, or going to Washington or New Orleans.
Howard’s financial demands will play a big role in where he will or will not be able to sign considering that teams like Golden State, Washington and the Lakers (where LeBron is likely to sign) won’t have much salary cap space available for him. Another issue will probably be all the negative reports about Howard as a teammate.
