Golden State Warriors rookie Quinten Post was perplexed on Tuesday that he was interviewed at halftime instead of teammate Steph Curry.
Curry scored 32 points in the first half of his Warriors’ game against the Memphis Grizzlies at FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tenn. He had 7 rebounds and had made 8 three-pointers in the first half and was the story of the game for Golden State. That’s why Post, who had made 3 three-pointers off the bench in the first half, was surprised to have been interviewed.
“I dunno why I’m here. Steph got 40 points,” Post said during his halftime interview.

Post was then told, “cuz you’re a rookie. We don’t make him stop.”

Not only did Post get the “rookie duties,” but sometimes broadcasting teams look for alternatives instead of interviewing Curry for the 500th time. Post presented that opportunity since he had shot the ball well in the first half.
While Post was the choice at halftime, you can bet that Curry is whom the fans wanted to hear from at the end of his monster game.
