How insane was the comeback the Golden State Warriors pulled off on Thursday night? So insane that at least one prominent member of the team basically conceded with a ton of time remaining in the game.
According to Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group, Draymond Green revealed that one “very prominent Warrior” urged his team to simply try to steal back some momentum heading into the next game.
Draymond Green said a very important Warrior said in the huddle at one point said: "Gain some momentum in Game 4, guys" with 9 minutes left.

The comment, which could have been made by a player or coach, likely came during an official timeout with 8:48 left in the fourth. The New Orleans Pelicans were leading 93-75 at the time, and it appeared the Warriors were dead men walking.
Instead, Golden State somehow fought its way back with an insane final few minutes of play and took a commanding 3-0 series lead with an overtime victory. With his team leading by three and seconds remaining, Monty Williams even instructed his team to foul rather than allowing Stephen Curry to attempt a 3-pointer. If you want to see how easy it is for Curry to hit a 3-pointer, just watch this video.
While the player or coach who made the “momentum” comment may have just been trying to get his team to relax, you almost can’t blame him if he was giving up. I mean, just look at this stat:

What Golden State did on Thursday is the definition of ripping a team’s heart out and stomping all over it. This series is now over.
