Report: Wizards considering signing Ty Lawson
Such is the Washington Wizards’ desperation to find a reserve guard that they’re targeting players who haven’t been in the NBA all year.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Wizards have looked into the possibility of adding point guard Ty Lawson, who spent this season playing in China.
The Washington Wizards are seriously considering signing guard Ty Lawson, league sources tell ESPN. Discussions are ongoing. Lawson, 30, played for Shangdong of the China Basketball Association this season.

Lawson last played in the NBA last season for the Sacramento Kings, where he averaged 9.9 points and 4.8 assists per game.
The Wizards are aggressively seeking a guard to add some cover while John Wall is sidelined for the foreseeable future. They’ve been linked to another veteran, but going after Lawson, who has been out of the league all season, really illustrates how far and wide their search has been.
