WNBA unveils new logo (Picture)
The WNBA held a press conference Thursday to announce a new TV deal for the league, and it also unveiled a new logo.
Pictured above is the league’s new logo, which is called “Logowoman.” The league says the new logo “reflects the athleticism and diversity of today’s WNBA players.”
Below is a picture of the old logo for comparison:
The old logo appeared on a shield, while the new one is on a rectangle with rounded corners. The new one has a two-color scheme featuring orange and white that matches the league’s official ball, while the old one had three colors — red, white, and blue.
During the press conference the WNBA announced that it had extended its partnership with ESPN for six years, allowing games to appear on ABC, ESPN, & ESPN2 through 2022.
